How to update Android

Android should periodically and automatically check for updates to your device. When updates are found your device should notify you of their availability. When updates are found, you can install them by following these instructions.

Open your device's "Settings" app

Tap "System" and then tap "Software update"

Follow the instructions there to perform the update
The update instructions will vary from device to device and the instructions shown on this screen will be specific to your device.
The update will take a bit of time and you are updating your Android Phone or Tablet, it's a good idea to have it plugged into a power charger as the update process will use a lot of battery power.
