The easiest way to find out how much space Chrome is using for your Browser Cache is to simply open the screen that lets you clear Chrome's cache - on that screen you'll see how much space Chrome is using. You don't need to actually delete/clear the data, you can just look at the amount of space used and then close the screen.
Depending on the operating system you are using, use the following shortcut to open the Clear browsing data screen. Don't worry, this won't actually delete any data, it will just display the amount of size used by Chrome's cache.
When you push those three keys at the same time, Chrome will open up the Clear browsing data screen. This screen gives you a list of things you could choose to delete from your cache. But you don't need to worry about that for now.
Make sure the Time range drop-down field at the top is set to All time, and then look underneath where it says Cached images and files - this shows you how much space on your hard drive Chrome is using to store temporary files in the cache.
In the above screenshot you'll see that it says 179 MB (Megabytes). Your computer will probably say a different amount.
As long as you have the "Time range" field set to "All time", the amount of space will be accurate. You can experiment with changing the Time range field to see how much space Chrome has taken up in the last hour, the last day, or the last week if you're curious.
If you don't want to clear the cache, you can just close that settings tab and resume browsing the internet.
