List of abandoned web browsers

This is a list of web browsers that seem to be abandoned by their developers. For context: a lot of web browsers in our listing are essentially "hobby" projects - built to satisfy a developer's personal requirement, or they are projects that start off with large, nobel visions, but eventually the reality of the complexity of developing and maintaining a browser sets in and the project stops receiving updates. Those are the browsers listed on this page.

I've done my best to determine if a browser is abandoned - it's hard to tell what the exact rule is - the browsers here are ones that haven't had an official announcement that the project is finished (such browsers with an official announcement are considered to be discontinued web browsers) but they also haven't updated for at least a year or two; if you click through to any of these project's Git repositories you'll see what I mean - many haven't had updates in an even longer time. If you notice any of the browsers here have been updated recently, please let me know and I will update the status.
